Ukraine’s FM offers Zelenskyy to break off diplomatic relations with Iran
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has sent Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a proposal to break off diplomatic relations with Iran.
“Given the numerous destruction caused by Iranian drones to the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, the death and suffering inflicted on our people, and also in connection with the emergence of reports of a possible continuation of the supply of weapons by Iran to Russia, I am submitting a proposal to the president to break off diplomatic relations with Iran,” Gazeta.ru quotes Kuleba as saying.
On October 17, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry accused Iran of supplying weapons to Russia.
Earlier, Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that he had submitted to the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) a bill on terminating diplomatic relations with Iran and recognizing the republic as a sponsor of terrorism.
