US nurse in Gaza urges Trump envoy to witness humanitarian crisis firsthand VIDEO
A US nurse working in Gaza has made a direct appeal to US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, urging him to witness the scale of the humanitarian disaster in the war-torn enclave with his own eyes ahead of his planned visit to Israel.
In a video released by the Hamas-run Health Ministry, Elidalis Burgos, an American critical care nurse currently working in Gaza, invites Witkoff to enter the territory and see the devastation for himself, Caliber.Az reports via Haaretz.

“Once you see it, you can't unsee it,” Burgos says in the footage. “The words that I'm saying to describe the situation [are] not enough to really convey the message of how terrible the conditions are ... It's not an earthquake or a storm that came and is harming people: This is a man-made disaster that is designed."
“Come and look for yourself, and maybe open your heart and open your eyes,” she adds. “That way, you can see the truth.”
Witkoff is expected to hold high-level meetings in Israel to discuss the ongoing crisis in Gaza, where continuous Israeli airstrikes and a strict blockade have contributed to what international organisations describe as one of the world’s most severe humanitarian emergencies. Numerous NGOs and human rights groups have reported widespread shortages of food, water, and medical supplies, as well as mass displacement.
The special envoy is also reportedly slated to visit a distribution center operated by the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
