Putin, Trump may hold talks at APEC summit in China, says Kremlin aide
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may hold talks at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in China if both attend the event, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated.
The APEC summit is scheduled to take place on November 18-19 in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.
Ushakov noted that if the two leaders attend the same event, a meeting between them would be inevitable. “If the leaders are at the same event, then, it seems to me, they will inevitably meet and hold talks.”
At the same time, he emphasized that no specific signals regarding a possible meeting have been received so far.
Ushakov also noted that a number of major international events will be held in Russia over the three months leading up to the summit.
