US to provide more military assistance to Ukraine
The United States will supply the Ukrainian armed forces with more munitions as part of the ongoing military assistance.
The relevant comments were made by White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, at a media briefing on board the Air Force One on Tuesday, according to a White House report.
Psaki clarified the discussions between the US President Joe Biden and allied leaders about Pentagon's concerns over the decreasing number of stockpile of munitions in Ukrainian depots.
“I can check on that and see if there’s anything specifically on ammunition. Certainly, we will continue to provide them more ammunition as we will provide them more military assistance,” Psaki said.
“There’s obviously more money we can provide from the approved drawdown package, and the specifics of that are being worked through with the Department of Defense and our national security team. And that, you know, has included ammunition, and I would expect will include a range of weapons moving forward.”
