Uzbek sportsmen arrive in Baku to attend int'l competition

There is 1 day left before the start of the 2022 President's Cup rowing regatta, dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Report informs, the team of Uzbekistan has already arrived in Baku from the participating countries.

The guests were met at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Representatives of the Azerbaijan Canoeing and Rowing Federation greeted the team of Uzbekistan and informed about the competition. Then a group of volunteers presented the athletes with special gifts.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan will be represented at the President's Cup by 5 athletes. The competition will last 2 days. The regatta starts on May 6 in Sugovushan. This area was liberated during the 44 days war 2 years ago. On the first day, the winners in kayaking and canoeing will be determined. And on May 7 in Mingachevir at the Kura Olympic Training and Sports Center, athletes will compete in rowing. The Cup of the show will end with a 3D effect on the water and fireworks.
