Western Azerbaijan community supports Ilham Aliyev's candidacy In the upcoming presidential elections

Western Azerbaijan Community has adopted a statement dedicated to supporting the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev in the presidential elections of Azerbaijan on February 7, 2024.

"Hundreds of thousands of Western Azerbaijanis who were forcibly expelled from their homeland of West Azerbaijan, subjected to genocide, brutal torture and given refuge in the Republic of Azerbaijan, where they were provided with all basic civil rights, believe that it is under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev that the mission of return and lasting peace will be achieved," Caliber.Az reports, citing the statement.

"Today's Azerbaijan, after the implementation of the ideas of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, is experiencing the strongest period in the history of its statehood. We are confident that the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, who has returned thousands of IDPs to Karabakh, East Zangezur, will peacefully reunite us with our native West Azerbaijan. In this regard, we declare our support for the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev in the presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024," the statement said.

The statement stresses that President Ilham Aliyev, whose activity is aimed at strengthening the Azerbaijani state, prosperity of the Azerbaijani people, has inestimable services to the Fatherland as an exemplary citizen, leader and reformer faithful to the political heritage.
