Vučić invites President Aliyev to visit Serbia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to visit his country to participate in the first Strategic Cooperation Council of the two countries.
Vučić announced the invitation on his İnstagram page following a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Belgrade on December 23, Caliber.Az reports.
According to him, special attention during the talks was paid to cooperation in the economy, military industry and Azerbaijan's participation in EXPO27.
The Serbian leaders said that the talks also included the current geopolitical situation, energy security issues, as well as the development of bilateral relations.
“We confirmed the exceptional relations of the two friendly countries and peoples based on mutual respect and cooperation on key issues. Thanked Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. I also reaffirmed that our country can always be counted on as a sincere friend and responsible partner,” Vučić wrote.
For the record, Jeyhun Bayramov is currently on a working visit to Serbia.
