Zurabishvili: Georgia not to return territories by force
Georgia’s policy has not changed and will not change, the country is not going to return territories by force, President Salome Zurabishvili said.
She made the remarks during the emergency briefing in Tbilisi on June 25, Caliber.Az reports citing Georgian media.
In addition, Zurabishvili called on Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to convene the Security Council.
"The Security Council should consider the current reactions in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali to prevent separatists from using these events to foment misplaced fears of Georgia among the population. Our policy has not changed and will not change, Georgia is not going to return territories by force. This must be said and repeated. Finally, information exchange and close communication with our partners must continue," she added.
