Russian MFA: Kyiv's drone footage reveals intent to target Kursk nuclear plant
Photographs of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, released by Ukrainian sources, indicate that Kyiv remains intent on striking the facility.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova highlighted this concern during a briefing at the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
She noted that the images, reportedly captured several kilometres away by a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone, suggest that Kyiv has not abandoned its plans to target this critical civilian infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Zakharova added that in light of recent terrorist cyberattacks and Israeli airstrikes, Russia has expressed grave concern over the situation in Lebanon. Following mass strikes by Israeli aircraft in southern Lebanon on September 19, which followed unprecedented attacks on September 17 and 18, Zakharova warned that a large-scale military operation could lead to "catastrophic consequences for security throughout the Middle East."
Zakharova extended condolences to the victims' families and wished a swift recovery to the injured, emphasizing the need to clarify the circumstances surrounding these troubling events.
