Turkish minister highlights success of Operation Gürz-15 against terrorism VIDEO

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has written that the Gürz-15 operation against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation was conducted across 23 provinces in Türkiye.

"Some 88 individuals were arrested during the Gürz-15 operation over the past five days," Caliber.Az reports, citing the minister’s message on X.

He emphasised that the operation covered major Turkish provinces, including Ankara, Istanbul, and Kayseri. 

The minister expressed gratitude to the prosecution bodies that coordinated police efforts. 

Yerlikaya assured that Türkiye's stance on completely eliminating the threat of terrorism remains unchanged. The interior minister previously said that 825 terrorists were neutralised, and 70 terrorist attacks were thwarted from January 1 to August 31, 2014.
