Shusha city state reserve department gets new powers

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has amended the decree dated September 4, 2012 "On the application of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the Urban Planning and Construction Code, its entry into force and related legal regulation" and the decree dated May 22, 2015 "On the approval of the procedure for suspending construction work".

Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the head of state, that according to the changes, if cultural heritage objects are discovered during construction work in the city of Shusha, the ongoing work should be immediately stopped and reported to the Department of the State Reserve of the city of Shusha.

The decision to continue the construction work should be made by the Department of the State Reserve of the city of Shusha.
