Hungary says it continues to receive oil, gas from Russia
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó has said that the country is well prepared for the winter season thanks to maintaining cooperation with Russia and ensuring reliable supplies of energy resources.
He made the remarks in an interview with Magyar Nemzet newspaper.
According to Szijjártó, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov assured him that Russia and its companies will fulfil the contractual obligations they have undertaken, supplying Hungary with the volumes of natural gas, oil and nuclear fuel specified in the contracts.
"And so far our experience is in line with this statement," the Hungarian foreign minister said.
The diplomat added that the filling of Hungary's gas storage facilities is now well above the European average, and the continuous supplies will ensure the country's energy supply during the winter period.
