Georgia completes construction of road on border with Azerbaijan Georgian minister says

The Georgian Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Karseladze, has said that the construction of a 4-kilometre Vaziani road has been completed as part of the construction of a new motorway in the direction of Tbilisi-Sagareko (Kakheti) on the border with Azerbaijan.

The Tbilisi-Sagareko section is part of the main motorway connecting Tbilisi and Kakheti, as well as a transit corridor connecting the northwestern region of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing Sputnik Georgia.

"The first 4-kilometre section of the Kakheti highway has already been opened to motor vehicles, which is a testament to the significant progress in the construction of the Kakheti highway," Karseladze said.
