Iranian president to attend BRICS summit in Kazan Plans meeting with Putin
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to attend the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan, with a key agenda including a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali highlighted the president’s agenda in an interview with Russian media, Caliber.Az reports.
“I think he will take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan. We are currently preparing for this visit to ensure it is beneficial and successful for our bilateral relations,” Ambassador Jalali stated.
In addition to the planned meeting with President Putin, President Pezeshkian is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with other participating leaders, address the Iranian community, and deliver a speech at the summit.
The summit presents an opportunity for President Pezeshkian to strengthen ties between Iran and the BRICS nations, as well as to enhance diplomatic relations with Russia amidst a global backdrop of shifting alliances and economic partnerships.
