Indian passenger plane makes emergency landing in Türkiye After bomb threat
An Air Vistara flight traveling from Mumbai to Frankfurt was rerouted to Erzurum Airport in Türkiye following a bomb threat, Governor Mustafa Çiftçi said on September 6.
Flight UK27, carrying 247 passengers, landed safely in Erzurum. In response to the threat, security personnel, including police, gendarmerie, and emergency teams from Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), were swiftly deployed to the scene, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
The aircraft was isolated and examined by bomb disposal experts as a precautionary measure. Additionally, all air traffic at Erzurum Airport was temporarily halted.
Reports indicate that the threat emerged when a passenger handed a napkin with a note claiming there was a bomb on board to a flight attendant.
