Czech Republic authorizes 150 citizens to join Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Czech authorities have authorized more than 150 of its citizens to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to journalists, the Czechs were granted permission by former President Milos Zeman, who left office on March 8, 2023, and the current leader of the Czech Republic Peter Paul, according to the Czech news portal Idnes.cz

Applications from 151 men and one woman have been approved, and a total of 553 applications have been received since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.

In addition, it is noted that Ukraine is actively supported by humanitarian organizations of the Czech Republic. In particular, they have facilitated the travel of volunteer medics to the zone of special military operation.

As reported, three Czech citizens have died in Ukraine so far.
