Iranian princess, Jewish businessman tie knot in grand Paris wedding VIDEO
Iman Pahlavi, the New York-based granddaughter of Iran’s last monarch, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, recently celebrated her marriage to Jewish American businessman Bradley Sherman with a formal wedding in Paris.
This Parisian celebration, attended by notable Iranian figures and members of the royal family, took place nearly a month after the couple's casual courthouse ceremony in New York City, Caliber.Az reports via Jewish news website.
Pahlavi, 31, and Sherman, who were introduced by friends in 2017, announced their engagement in August 2023, following over four years of partnership. Bradley Sherman, who serves as head of partnerships at the commercial drone delivery company Matternet, reportedly hails from a Jewish family.
It’s another historical Royal wedding between a Persian Royal Family member with a Jewish person.

Social media footage of the couple's wedding ceremony captured Pahlavi and Sherman participating in the hora, a traditional Jewish dance where they were lifted on chairs. Iman Pahlavi, the newlywed princess, and her sisters were born and raised in the United States. They are the daughters of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran, and his wife Yasmine, whose family was removed from power during the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Pahlavi is currently employed by American Express in New York City. Images from the extravagant summer wedding began circulating on social media on June 8.
The photos, showcasing Pahlavi in a lacy white gown by Elie Saab, featured prominent royal family members including her grandmother and matriarch Farah Pahlavi, widow of the former Shah Mohammad Reza, as well as her sisters Noor, 32, and Farah, 21.
A moment of grace, continuity, and hope.

Many social media users extended their congratulations to the couple, particularly expressing support for their interfaith marriage and its potential significance for Iran's future. Iranian Jewish blogger Nioh Berg extended congratulations to Princess Iman Pahlavi and Brad Sherman, expressing the wishes of the entire Iranian nation for their health and happiness.
Berg also voiced hope for the swift return of the entire Royal Family to Iran, reunited with their countrymen. He noted that had the 1979 revolution not occurred, this wedding would have been a state event with global invitees, much like royal weddings in other monarchies.
Iranian-Canadian politician Goldie Ghamari also commented on the wedding on X, stating, “This wedding photo of Princess Iman Pahlavi with her father HRH @PahlaviReza symbolises hope, legacy, and over 2500 years of Iranian history. Despite all efforts by the Islamic Republic, the Iranian Royal family is thriving and is more beloved by Iranians than ever.”
