IDF hits over 100 targets across Iran in five waves of aerial strikes PHOTO
Israel has struck more than 100 targets across Iran in a sweeping aerial campaign involving 200 fighter jets and five waves of attacks, the Israeli military stated on June 13.
The strikes, which are part of what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) described as a “precise and synchronized operation,” have focused on “military targets and targets from the nuclear program across different areas in Iran,” IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin said during a live briefing, adding that “over 330 various munitions” have already been dropped, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
He said the IDF had confirmed that "senior members of the Iranian regime's security leadership" had been killed, including the Iranian military's chief of staff and the Revolutionary Guard's Salami.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the operation as “unprecedented” and said it would continue for several days. Meanwhile, the IDF spokesperson stated that Iran has launched more than 100 drones toward Israeli territory in retaliation.
