EU wants to offer new cooperation agenda to Armenia

22 February 2024 15:51

EU High Representative Josep Borrell announced his desire to visit Armenia to make the first proposal on a new cooperation agenda, according to Vassilis Maragos, the head of the EU delegation to Armenia.

The Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (SEPA) is a very important document, the provisions of which are gradually being implemented, Maragos said during an event dedicated to the final report of the EU-Armenia civil platform on February 22, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

“But in reality, together we can record more serious results so that the aspirations of Armenian citizens, including businessmen, for a better life based on values, respect, territorial integrity, as well as for regional development can be realized,” Maragos emphasized.

He added that work is underway on this.

“We will strengthen security cooperation. I hope that we will be able to move on to quality reforms,” the diplomat noted.
