Georgia's president rejects amendments to foreign agents law

Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili has declared her stance against amending the law on foreign agents, which was ratified by the parliament despite her veto.

In an interview with Polish TV channel TVP World, Zourabichvili emphasized that she sees no grounds for compromise, stating that the ruling party, Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, has the autonomy to revise the law without her intervention.

She asserted, "They can revoke it, pause it, change it themselves," highlighting the party's capacity to initiate changes independently.
