ADA University launches COP29 summer camp on climate change for young educators
ADA University recently hosted the opening ceremony of the COP29 Summer Camp on Climate Change, a project designed for young teachers.
The event was moderated by ADA University Vice Rector Fariz Ismayilzada and featured addresses from key figures, including COP29 President-designate and Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev; COP29 Chief Negotiator and Deputy Foreign Minister Yalcin Rafiyev; UN High-Level Climate Leader Nigar Arpadarayi; Acting Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme in Azerbaijan Alessandra Roccasalvo, and COP29 Youth Climate Advocate and Chairperson of the Youth Organisation of the Non-Aligned Movement Leyla Hasanova, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The summer camp is one of several initiatives aimed at advancing the goals set for COP29. The training is designed to equip young educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand climate change and explore ways to integrate climate education into their teaching practices.
