Al Jazeera: IDF withdraws from Nablus city and Balata refugee camp
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) is withdrawing its forces from the city of Nablus and the adjacent Palestinian refugee camp of Balata in the West Bank, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the source, the Israeli military confiscated a car they had blown up on one of the streets leading to the refugee camp.
Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen earlier said that the IDF had heavily shelled and stormed the Balata refugee camp. According to it, the Israeli military fought fierce battles with Palestinian resistance forces. The TV channel noted that the Israelis "pulled significant reinforcements to the camp" and began destroying infrastructure with heavy military equipment. The Palestinians responded with improvised explosive devices and small arms fire.
