Kryvyi Rih reports casualties following Russian overnight strikes
Two people were injured in Kryvyi Rih during an overnight attack by Russian forces on Ukrainian territory, authorities confirmed.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the regional military administration, confirmed that one of the injured is in moderate condition, Caliber.Az reports.
“Last night the enemy carried out another attack on several of our city’s infrastructure facilities. Firefighters, heating engineers, energy workers, and utility workers were involved in mitigating the consequences; they worked all night and are working now”, Vilkul stated.
He added that, in recent days, a total of 16 people have been hospitalized in the city, five of whom are in serious or moderate condition.
The overnight shelling also left several neighborhoods in Kryvyi Rih without electricity. Restoration work is currently underway as local authorities work to return essential services to affected areas.
Some boiler houses are connected to the grid, the rest run on generators. Water supply is provided in all districts.
Because of the emergency power outage, the movement of the high-speed tram on the segment from Zarichna station to Maidan Pratsi was halted. The routes of two trolleybus lines were also changed.
