Albania voices support for Azerbaijan after Nakhchivan drone attack

The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, held a phone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on March 7.

According to a statement released by the Azerbaijani presidential press service and cited by Caliber.Az, Begaj condemned Iran’s drone attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic during the call.

Aliyev thanked the Albanian president for reaching out and expressed appreciation for Albania’s clear and resolute position on the incident.

During the conversation, the two leaders also expressed satisfaction with the steady development of relations between Azerbaijan and Albania. They noted that mutual visits and high-level contacts have played an important role in expanding bilateral cooperation.

The presidents additionally exchanged views on issues related to the bilateral agenda.
