Antalya hosts 13th session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly

The 13th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) will be held in Antalya from January 8 to 10 under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Shentop.

As Azertag agency reported, the event titled "Stimulation of multilateralism in the changing international dynamics" will be attended by parliamentary delegations from 27 countries.

The discussion will be opened by APA Secretary General, Mohammed Reza Majidi, and Turkish parliamentarian Mustafa Shentop.

Azerbaijani Speaker of the National Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, will be attending the event, together with the heads of the highest legislative bodies of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Yemen and Timor-Leste.

The delegations of Iraq, Palestine, Russia and Jordan will be represented by their vice-speakers.

The Speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Zorlu Tore, has also been invited to the session as the guest of honour.
