Armenia transfers five prisoners to Iran

Armenia has transferred five prisoners, all Iranian citizens who were previously convicted under various charges by Armenian courts, back to Iran.

The information was reported by Armenian media, citing the Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as per Caliber.Az.

The transfer was carried out under an interstate extradition agreement, and it has been noted that the prisoners will continue serving their sentences in Iran.

It should be noted that Iran and Armenia signed an agreement on extradition of prisoners on November 11, 2012.
