Iran condemns Israel for "mass assassination" in Lebanon
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his condolences to the Lebanese people following recent mass casualties attributed to what he termed a "mass assassination" by Israel.
In a message shared on his X account, Pezeshkian lamented the deaths of many Lebanese and the injuries of thousands, labeling the actions of the "criminal Zionist regime" as a treacherous act of mass terror, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

He specifically condemned the use of exploded communication devices that indiscriminately harmed civilians.
Pezeshkian asserted that Israel "will definitely be punished justly" for its actions.
“We express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the people of Lebanon for the martyrdom and injury of thousands of Lebanese citizens as a result of treacherous mass terror carried out by the terrorist regime of Israel by exploding communication devices (pagers) without distinguishing between civilians and others,” the post by Pezeshkian said.
The President condemned this "heinous crime" targeting the Lebanese people and emphasized Iran's support for the Lebanese government and its citizens.
He called on international organizations to "fulfill their responsibility over the tragic incident" and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blasts.
