At least 37 dead as earthquake hits northwestern Nepal

Northwestern districts of Nepal experienced a devastating earthquake, resulting in at least 37 casualties and numerous injuries.

As reported by AP, the death toll is expected to increase, and communication with many affected villages has been disrupted.

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.4, struck with its epicenter in Jajarkot, located approximately 400 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu and could be felt in New Delhi.

The publication recalls, that those occurrences are quite normal for Nepal, like in 2015 when Nepal was hit by a severe 7.8 magnitude earthquake that caused significant loss of life and extensive damage to structures.
