Death toll in Gaza surpasses 52,000 as Israel's attacks claim 18 more lives in 24 hours
The Palestinian Health Ministry has announced that since Israel's military operations began in Gaza on October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen by 18 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 52,418.
Some 18 new bodies were brought to local hospitals in the last day, alongside 77 individuals who were injured during the recent attacks. The situation remains dire, with the number of casualties continuing to rise amid ongoing hostilities, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Since Israel resumed its attacks on March 18, after breaking a ceasefire, 2,326 Palestinians have been killed, and 6,050 have sustained injuries. These figures reflect the intensifying nature of the conflict, which has claimed thousands of lives and left many others severely wounded.
As of now, the total death toll in Gaza since the onset of Israel's operations has reached 52,418, with 118,091 people reported to have been injured. The devastation has left the region in crisis, with many more trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
