Azerbaijan amends composition of COP29 Organizing Committee
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order amending the composition of the COP29 Organizing Committee.
Changes have been made in the composition of the Organizing Committee for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol and the 6th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the document, new members have been added to the Organizing Committee, in particular Ombudswoman Sabina Aliyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Mariana Vasilyeva, Deputy Minister of Culture Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Umaira Tagiyeva, MP Nigar Arpadarai, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, diaspora, multiculturalism and religion of the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva, Executive Director of the Agency for State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations Aygun Aliyeva, MP Sevinj Fataliyeva, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova, Chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Bahar Muradova, Deputy Chairman of the Food Security Agency Zakiya Mustafayeva, Chairman of the Board of the Social Ecological Center "Ecosphere" Firuza Sultanzade.
To recap, Baku will host the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in 2024.
