Azerbaijan appoints new consuls general in Istanbul, Kars

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a series of decrees reshuffling the country's diplomatic leadership in Türkiye, including the appointment of new consuls general in Istanbul and Kars.

Under one decree, Narmina Elsevar gyzy Mustafayeva was relieved of her duties as Azerbaijan's Consul General in Istanbul. She was also dismissed from her role as the country's Permanent Representative to the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), Caliber.Az reports.

In a separate decree, President Aliyev appointed Zamin Mammad oglu Aliyev, who previously served as Azerbaijan's Consul General in Kars, as the new Consul General in Istanbul.

The president also appointed Goshgar Aslan oglu Zeynalov as Azerbaijan's new Consul General in Kars.
