Azerbaijan appoints new deputy economy minister Presidential decree

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the appointment of a new deputy economy minister.

Anar Akhundov has been appointed deputy economy minister, Report informs.

Akhundov was born in 1975. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (faculty of economics) in 1996. He worked at the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange, at the Azerbaijan Investment Company and at Bank Standard. He was appointed member of the Supervisory Board of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in 2022.

Akhundov is married and has two children.
