Azerbaijan approves agreement on healthcare cooperation with Russia
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the agreement between the country’s Health Ministry and the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) on ensuring epidemiological safety in areas with transboundary natural plague foci.
According to Caliber.Az, the information came online on the Azerbaijani president’s official website.
The document was reportedly signed on November 17, 2022 in Baku.
The Azerbaijani Health Ministry was instructed to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the document after the entry into force of the agreement. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has been instructed to send a notification to the government of the Russian Federation on the implementation of internal state procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement.
The Azerbaijani Health Ministry was instructed to ensure the implementation of the document’s provisions after the agreement comes into force.
Moreover, the head of state instructed the Foreign Ministry to notify the Russian government of the completion of the domestic procedures required for the agreement to commence.
