Azerbaijan approves healthcare cooperation agreement with Latvia

Azerbaijan has approved an agreement on cooperation in healthcare and medical science with Latvia, formalising bilateral collaboration in the sector, according to an official decree.

The agreement was signed on December 4, 2025, in Riga between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia, Caliber.Az reports. 

Under the decree, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health has been instructed to oversee the implementation of the agreement’s provisions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with notifying the Latvian government that Azerbaijan has completed the domestic procedures required for the agreement to enter into force.
