Azerbaijan, Armenia progress in harmonizing draft regulations for border delimitation commissions
The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia are advancing in their efforts to harmonize the draft regulations for the joint activities of their respective border delimitation commissions.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, and the Commission on the Matters of Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan are working together to finalize these regulations as part of their bilateral agreements, AZERTAC reports.
As of July 1, 2024, the two commissions have exchanged drafts of the regulations and engaged in several discussions to align their approaches. The negotiations are proceeding constructively, with both sides aiming to complete the harmonization process in the near future.
