Azerbaijan, Cambodia discuss cooperation on mine clearance

Azerbaijan and Cambodia have discussed cooperation on mine clearance on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has stated.

The ministry said in a post on X that the sides – Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Cambodian counterpart Prak Sokhonn – reviewed the development of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of expanding high-level political dialogue, Caliber.Az reports.

Officials also exchanged views on strengthening interparliamentary ties and deepening mutual support on international platforms, particularly within the Non-Aligned Movement, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and ASEAN.

“Minister Sokhonn expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the upcoming CICA Summit and wished full success in its organization. Ministers have also discussed cooperation in the area of demining. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, underscoring the importance of continued coordination and dialogue,” the ministry wrote.
