Azerbaijan declares 2025 as Year of Constitution and Sovereignty Presidential order
Azerbaijan has officially declared 2025 as the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, marking a significant milestone in the country’s history.
President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to commemorate the occasion, underscoring the importance of the Constitution and the nation’s sovereignty, Caliber.Az reports.
The declaration comes as Azerbaijan celebrates the 30th anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution and the 5th anniversary of its victory in the Patriotic War, which led to the full restoration of its territorial integrity. The announcement highlights the country's commitment to upholding the principles of sovereignty and national unity enshrined in its foundational legal document.
Under the order, the Presidential Administration has been tasked with preparing a proposal for an action plan to support the declaration. This proposal is to be submitted to President Aliyev within one month, ensuring that the year is marked by meaningful actions and events in recognition of these key anniversaries.
