Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Estonian counterpart Urmas Reinsalu met on September 20 to discuss the latest regional tension.
The two officials focused at the meeting on Azerbaijani-Estonian bilateral cooperation ties and the tension that arose in the region as a result of Armenia's provocation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press service.
Bayramov informed his Estonian counterpart about Armenia's ongoing provocative steps and attacks on Azerbaijan's positions on September 12 that hinder the peace process.
The ceasefire was violated by Armenia, which is followed by human losses, the minister stressed.
He noted Azerbaijan's interest in solving existing problems with Armenia in the political and diplomatic context.
Urmas Reinsalu noted that Estonia is interested in the further development of bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.
He expressed concern about the current unstable situation and emphasised the importance of solving problems by dialogue based on the norms and principles of international law, within the framework of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The parties also shared views on other issues of mutual interest.
