Azerbaijan improves activities in field of medical examination of conscripts

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree "On some measures related to the improvement of activity in the field of medical examination of citizens called up for urgent active military service".

The relevant information was posted on the official website of the Azerbaijani president, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the document, on July 1, 2024, the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population should conduct a final medical examination of conscripts in order for the draft commissions to make one of the following decisions:

- on eligibility for non-combat active military service;

- on granting a deferment and being recognized as temporarily unfit for active military service for health reasons;

- unfit for active military service in peacetime and limited fitness in wartime;

- unfit for military service both in peacetime and wartime.

Information on the results of medical examinations will be collected in the subsystem "Military medical expertise and medical examination" of the centralized electronic information system of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
