Azerbaijan's president ratifies agreements with Moldova, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Algeria
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved a series of intergovernmental agreements with several countries, according to information published on the official website of the head of state.
The Azerbaijani president ratified an agreement on the exchange and mutual protection of classified information signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Moldova on September 19 in Baku, Caliber.Az reports.
He also approved an agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Bahrain on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The document was signed on September 25 in New York.
In addition, President Aliyev ratified a number of intergovernmental documents with Kazakhstan. These include an agreement on cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, a memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee and Kazakhstan’s Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, an agreement on cooperation in the protection of industrial property, and an agreement on strategic partnership in the energy sector. All of these documents were signed on October 21 in Astana.
Furthermore, President Ilham Aliyev approved an intergovernmental agreement between Azerbaijan and Algeria on the establishment of a joint commission for trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation. The agreement was signed on November 4 in Algiers.
