Ukraine expands negotiation team to include security, economic officials
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an expansion of the country’s negotiation team for conflict resolution, RIA Novosti reports.
The team now includes Economy Minister Oleksii Sobolev, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Andrii Hnatov, and intelligence representatives.
Zelenskyy noted that the expansion reflects the broader scope of upcoming talks, which will cover not only the conflict resolution plan but also security guarantees for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy described the process as advancing on multiple tracks, with the economic group already active in talks involving U.S. representatives like Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, as well as figures from the World Bank and BlackRock. The security track aims to detail binding commitments from partners, potentially under the "Coalition of the Willing" framework.
