21 February 2025 10:39

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has approved an agreement on a strategic partnership for the development and transmission of green energy between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The agreement was originally signed in November last year in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Thus, a trilateral meeting took place in Baku on November 13, bringing together Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, the leaders signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the development and transfer of green energy. The executive documents were signed by the presidents of the three nations, as well as the energy ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Following the signing ceremony, the presidents delivered speeches before holding a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud, to discuss further cooperation in the energy sector.
