Azerbaijan opens new military unit in Khojavend district PHOTO
The measures are being taken to comprehensively organise the military service of the troops and improve the social and living conditions of the units deployed in the liberated Azerbaijani territories upon President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev’s order.
Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, the leadership of the ministry, and head of the Executive Power of the Khojavend district Eyvaz Huseynov took part in the opening ceremony of a new military unit in the Khojavend district during Eid al-Adha, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Headquarters, a canteen, a first-aid post, a soldier's barracks, a car fleet, various warehouses, and other infrastructure facilities on the territory of a military camp, built to organise high-level combat training and military service of troops, as well as to ensure the living conditions of personnel, were inspected.
The defence minister was informed that all office premises are equipped with air conditioners, furniture, modern sanitary facilities, bedding, cooking equipment, and generators.
After inspecting the military unit, the minister of defence gave the corresponding instructions to further improve the living conditions of the personnel.
Then the concert on the occasion of Eid al-Adha was performed.
While addressing the personnel, Colonel-General Hasanov noted that the supreme commander highly appreciated the merits of the Azerbaijani Army at the opening ceremony of a new commando military unit in Kalbajar district.
While emphasising the importance of fulfilling all tasks, thereby justifying the trust placed by the country's leadership, the minister congratulated the personnel on the commissioning of a new military unit and Eid al-Adha holiday, and wished them success in their service.
The ceremony of slaughtering sacrificial animals on the occasion of the holiday has been held this year as in all previous years.
In conclusion, Hasanov and Huseynov planted long-living evergreen trees on the territory of the military unit, embodying the unity of the army and people.
