Azerbaijan reveals industrial production figures for 4 months of 2024
Azerbaijan's industrial enterprises and private entrepreneurs working in this sphere produced industrial products worth 21.1 billion manats ($12.4 billion) from January to April of this year, which is 13.2 per cent less than in the same period of last year.
On an annual basis, production in the oil and gas sector decreased by 0.2 per cent, while in the non-oil and gas sector - increased by 8.7 per cent, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Statistics Committee.
As reported, 64.6 per cent of industrial products was produced in the mining sector, 29.3 per cent in the processing sector, 5.3 per cent in the extraction, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, and 0.8 per cent in the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector.
In the mining sector, production of marketable oil decreased by 5.7 per cent and marketable gas production increased by 4.3 per cent.
In the reporting period, the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam decreased by 4.6 per cent, while the water supply, treatment and waste management sector increased by 8.2 per cent.
