Azerbaijan’s Deputy FM, Iranian envoy discuss deepening bilateral cooperation
On July 31, 2025, Yalchin Rafiyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, held talks with Mojtaba Demirchilou, Iran’s Ambassador to Baku.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The officials also exchanged views on collaboration within regional and international forums.
It was noted that Azerbaijan and Iran share similar positions on numerous international issues.
On July 30, Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson for Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also met with Demirchilou to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the media sector.
Hajizada welcomed the growing communication between the foreign ministry spokespersons of both nations and emphasised Baku’s commitment to deepening friendly relations with Tehran.
The meeting also covered plans for exchanging media delegations and boosting collaboration between the two countries’ state news agencies.
