Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss holding joint military exercises PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Pakistan have discussed holding joint military exercises and strategic partnership issues, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence has stated.
It said the talks between the sides – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev and the Pakistani delegation led by Major General Muhammad Imran Khan Babar, head of the General Directorate of International Military Cooperation of Pakistan – focused on military education, military-technical cooperation and several other issues of mutual interest, Caliber.Az reports.
During the meeting, Valiyev expressed satisfaction with the current state of the strategic partnership between Baku and Islamabad.
He noted that regular talks between the leadership of the two countries’ defence ministries are giving fresh impetus to the development of military ties.
Muhammad Imran Khan Babar said that mutual visits are making a positive contribution to the development of bilateral military cooperation.
