Azerbaijan’s new envoy meets senior Saudi officials to discuss ties

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mutallim Mirzayev, has held discussions on bilateral cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, local media reports, citing information from the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

According to the ministry, Ambassador Mirzayev was received by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Ambassador Saud al-Sati, and Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.

Both officials formally welcomed Mirzaev, extended their best wishes for his work in his new post, and exchanged views with him on a range of issues of mutual interest between Baku and Riyadh.
