Azerbaijan's president arrives at International Congress Center in Sharm el-Sheikh For Middle East Peace Summit
As previously reported, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev is on a working visit to Egypt at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to participate in the Middle East Peace Summit.
President Aliyev arrived at the International Congress Center in Sharm el-Sheikh, where the summit is being held, Caliber.Az reports per Azertac.
He was welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, as part of a gathering of over 20 world leaders focused on formalising the U.S.-brokered Gaza ceasefire.
On October 12, President Aliyev arrived in Egypt on a working visit at the invitation of US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Notably, Israel and Hamas are absent from the summit. Attending countries include Azerbaijan, Türkiye, the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Qatar, Jordan, and Armenia.
