Azerbaijan’s president congratulates Iran on ceasefire with US

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has called his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian to convey his congratulations on the recently announced ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

During the phone call, President Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for both the congratulations and the humanitarian assistance provided by the country to Iran, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.

The two leaders also discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation, exchanging views on ways to further strengthen ties between Azerbaijan and Iran.
