Azerbaijan’s president extends Freedom Day greetings to South Africa
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to the President of the Republic of South Africa, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, on the occasion of the country’s national holiday — Freedom Day.
In his message, President Ilham Aliyev extended his sincere congratulations to President Ramaphosa and the people of South Africa on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
“I am pleased to extend my most sincere congratulations to you and, through you, to your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of South Africa – Freedom Day,” the letter reads.
President Aliyev expressed confidence that friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Africa will continue to develop and expand successfully through joint efforts, both on a bilateral and multilateral basis, in line with the interests of both peoples.
He also conveyed his best wishes to the South African leadership and wished the friendly people of South Africa lasting peace and prosperity.
